Liberty Village CARES - We Change Lives!

Every initiative and life we impact is a result of our incredibly loving team of volunteers, community driven local businesses and caring Condo Property Managements & Boards!
"We gonna need a bigger boat! We have to UPSIZE the shipping container from 20 cubic ft to 40 cubic ft!" is the powerful statement leader Felicia Williams shared with us all upon hearing about the overwhelming amount of donations we collected for a Syrian Refugee Drive!  Multiple condos got involved once King West in Liberty Condos set an example.
Over 60 neighbours, many who never even met each other before, rallied together in just 2 weeks to pull off a hugely successful event where we prepared and served 50 youth a Thanksgiving dinner at Eva's Phoenix Youth Shelter.  King West in Liberty was the lead condo sending out emails, posting in elevators inviting people to cook and make money donations!

Resident Liz Dias had her students make Caramel Apples with "Welcome to Canada" notes for new Syrian Students fellow resident Dolly Mehra Soin works with.  We had some leftover apples donated by School Restaurant & F45 from the Terry Fox Run and we put them good use!

2nd Annual Homeless Shelter Thanksgiving DInner. This year we fed and cooked 2 shelters: Stachan House & Eva's Phoenix.  Over 30 neighbours combined to ensure our 2015 event is now officially a LVCARES Annual Tradition.

Fed all 82 residents at Strachan House a Pizza & pop dinner thanks to supporters of Karma Tickets. Panago Pizza made event possible with a much needed discount to ensure we could offer each resident and staff 2 slices each. Pizza delivered and served by Jason Killackey & Jagger Long.

December 2016

Not only did we buy Christmas gifts for our local homeless shelter, we also served them a dinner and started another Liberty Village tradition!  Over 40 Liberty Villagers united to cook and feed a much deserved Christmas dinner to the 83 residents, our friends at Strachan House.

Our ONE LAST good deed of 2016!
